Toy Story follows a group of anthropomorphic toys who pretend to be lifeless whenever humans are present, and focuses on Woody, a pullstring cowboy doll (Hanks), and Buzz Lightyear, an astronaut action figure (Allen). Reviews were positive, praising both the technical innovation of the animation and the wit and sophistication of the screenplay and it is now widely considered, by many critics, to be one of the greatest and most revolutionary films in the history of animation.
